I have been absent for a while now. I have been busy teaching the Light Writers program at Holland Bloorview and ErinOaks in Toronto, Canada and haven't been able to post.
I promise I will make an effort to post weekly or at least twice a month, to keep you all up to date with what everyone is doing and the wonderful images they are producing.

My Favorite Part
It all started in June 2007, at the Eglinton Elementary Public School, in Toronto, Canada. Eight students from the special ed classroom, varying in age and disabilities, participated in a workshop I taught where I covered the basics of image making and composition. We met 2-3 times a week for a month.
The project was entitled "My Favorite Part". I asked them to choose a favorite part of themselves, write about it and think how they wanted to frame that special part of themselves. They worked in pairs. The result was amazing!!
We hung their works in the Great Hall of the school...they were so proud.
